Become A Chaplain

Our services are supported by volunteer chaplains whose role is to support the spiritual health of a local service, encouraging and sharing Jesus' love amongst clients and staff.

Whilst we welcome people of all faiths and none, our Christian faith is core to the work that we do. Our volunteer chaplains provide a pastoral presence and take opportunities to share Jesus’ love. We also encourage our chaplains to promote Langley within local churches, or wherever you have Christian networks.

The chaplaincy role is varied, shaped by the gifts of each local chaplain, and may involve:

  • running an Alpha course
  • leading clients or staff in prayer
  • offering pastoral support and a listening ear
  • leading devotions or Bible study groups
  • prayer walking with clients
  • using art to express truths about Jesus

Become a Langley Chaplain

If you long to see broken lives renewed and would like to put your faith into action, this could be the role for you. Please get in touch using the form below.

The time commitment for our chaplaincy roles is 2-3 hours a week, which is flexible around your availability. This is a rewarding ministry for someone who enjoys communicating their faith to people of all backgrounds including those who have other faiths or none.

We are seeking Christians who have a personal faith that is deep, resilient, hope-filled and outgoing, Christians who have a passion to see people with convictions find fullness of life and thrive, as they discover who God made them to be.
